NHAHA 8U Jamboree Saturday, March 14

 

The NHAHA 8U End of Season Jamboree scheduled on Saturday, March 14 at the Tri-Town Arena is looking to add three (3) more teams. The format for the jamboree will be the following:

 

Schedule

North Rink

South Rink

9:00 AM - 9:50 AM

9:20 AM - 10:10 AM

10:00 AM - 10:50 AM

10:20 AM - 11:10 AM

11:00 AM - 11:50 AM

11:20 AM - 12:10 PM

12:00 PM - 12:50 PM

12:20 PM - 1:10 PM

 

Jamboree Rules

  • Format is 4-on-4 plus goaltenders
  • There will be one (1) on-ice official per each half-ice game
  • Two (2) minutes for line change (Buzzer will go off)
  • Games will be one 22-minute period running time
    • 3-minute warmup
    • two (2) minutes between games
  • Referees will commence play after each buzzer or goal by tossing a puck into the neutral zone
  • On line changes the following will happen:
    • The team closest to their net must skate around it before playing the puck
    • The team furthest from their net must skate below the hash marks in front of their goalie before playing the puck
    • If a player plays the puck before doing this, the other team will get the puck and the team that committed the violation must back up to the center faceoff location
  • Any time a team scores a goal or a goalie covers the puck the offensive team must back up to half ice
  • If a team has less than eight (8) players on their bench, the player(s) that stay on the ice must tag up, back to their bench, before entering the game
  • Face-offs take place at the designated center ice
    • Start of each game
    • After a penalty
  • Egregious penalties will only be called
  • If a team receives a penalty the following will happen:
    • The offending player will immediately go to their bench
    • A new player will be sent on the ice to make the team have four (4) players
    • Play will resume with a faceoff
  • The player receiving the penalty will have the following happen to serve it:
    • Will sit the remainder of the current 2-minute shift
    • Then will sit the next 2-minute shift
  • Score will be kept using flip boards located on both sides the penalty box doors
